Victor Vernicos – What They Say

Krátce o interpretovi

Victor Vernicos Jørgensen je ve svých šestnácti letech nejmladším reprezentantem Řecka v historii Eurovize. Jeho otec je Dán, zatímco matka pochází z Řecka, Victor se narodil v Athénách. Hudbě se věnuje už od svých čtyř let, kdy začal hrát na piano, v osmi letech k tomu přidal studium zpěvu a o dva roky později také hru na kytaru. Svou píseň What They Say pro Eurovizi napsal už ve čtrnácti letech a je jejím jediným autorem. V interním výběru řecké televize ERT se mu podařilo porazit i takové hvězdy domácí scény jako jsou například Leon of Athens nebo Melissa Mantzoukis. Právě Melissa po oznámení výsledků interního výběru žalovala řeckou televizi kvůli údajnému zfalšování výsledků, ale u soudu se svou stížností neuspěla.
