Cornelia Jakobs – Hold Me Closer
Krátce o interpretce
Cornelia Jakobs, celým jménem Anna Cornelia Jakobsdotter Samuelsson se narodila v roce 1992 ve Stockholmu. Hudební nadání patrně zdědila po svém otci Jakobovi, frontmanovi rockové skupiny The Poodles. Během dospívání navštěvovala Cornelia umělecké školy Kulturama a Rytmus musikgymnasium, v roce 2008 se pak objevila v pěvecké televizní soutěži Idol, v níž se jí ale nepodařilo postoupit z castingu. O dva roky později se stala členkou dívčí popové skupiny Love Generation, se kterou se v letech 2011 a 2012 zúčastnila švédského Melodifesivalenu. Následně přišlo přeskupení a z Love Generation se postupně stalo duo Stockholm Syndrome, v jejímž rámci Cornelia vedle své sólové dráhy spolupracuje se švédskou zpěvačkou Charly Q.
Do národního kola Melodifestivalen se Cornelia vrátila loni jako spoluautorka skladby Best of Me. Letos se však zpěvu ujala sama a se skladbou Hold Me Closer, kterou napsala společně s Isou Molin a Davidem Zandénem, vyhrála letošní vydání Melfestu. Poprvé od roku 2014, kdy Švédsko reprezentovala Sanna Nielsen, tak bude tuto skandinávskou zemi zastupovat na eurovizní stagi žena. Jde navíc o vůbec první vítěznou píseň Melodifestivalenu, na jejíž tvorbě se podílela více než jedna žena.
