Chanel Monseigneur – Chasing Sunsets

Krátce o interpretovi

Chanel Monseigneur pochází z města Mosta na severu Malty a je jí 9 let. Má ráda zpěv, hru na klavír, improvizaci, ale také čtení a psaní povídek. V 7 letech začala chodit na hodiny zpěvu a ani ne po měsíci již vystupovala. Jejím dosavadním největším úspěchem je účast ve finále Gala Riga Symphony v Lotyšsku v roce 2019. Mezi její hudební idoly patří Demi Lovato, Sia, Kelly Clarkson a Faouzia. Se svou písní Chasing Sunsets zvítězila v národním kole mezi 12 finalisty. Jedním z autorů písně je i Aleandro Spiteri Monseigneur, což je Chanelin starší bratr, který se věnuje skládání hudby ve Spojeném království.

Malta má na Junior Eurovision dlouhou tradici, od roku 2003 se účastní pravidelně pouze s dvouletou pauzou v letech 2011 a 2012. Po této pauze však v roce 2013 přišlo první vítězství, které ještě znásobila v roce 2015 Destiny. Dá se tak říci, že se Malta řadí na poli dětské Eurovize k úspěšným zemím. Elianě se však loni v Gliwicích nedařilo a skončila na posledním místě z celkového počtu 19 zemí.
